La Grande Boucherie Première, les vins Dubuffet et les fromages Siclet [The Grand Premier Butcher Shop, Dubuffet Wines, and Siclet Cheeses] joined this effort to distribute food. A camel is transporting potoes, while the poorest residents line up under the gaze of the more affluent and journalists (foreground). The butcher shop also distributed free bouillon on Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays from 10 h 30 à 12 h 30 as part of the Secours d'hiver [Winter Assistance Plan]. Signs encouraged mutual assistance.
